	August 21st, 2003 was the date for our four day trip to Wild Mare Horse Campground two miles North of North Bend, Oregon. We spent our time riding on the beach next to crashing waves and seals swimming in the surf just yards off the beach. Afternoons were spent swimming the horses bareback in the ponds in the dunes. Here are some of the photos we took. It truly shows the disposition of the Rocky and Kentucky Mt. Saddle horse breeds. "Yankee" behaves like a gentleman regardless of the fact that the week before he had been breeding mares.
	Percy Bush and his three year old Rocky Mountain filly, "CoCo". Percy is an avid Oregon Equestrian Trail Riders Club member, in 1999, at the age of 85 he aquired his Rocky Mountain filly "CoCo" pictured here. Percy and CoCo have spent many hours in the saddle during the summers of 1999 and 2000 guiding people and their horses along the Oregon Santiam Wagon trail in the Oregon Cascade Mountains. Even after a hip replacement surgury in the spring of 2000, Percy is back in the saddle again and on the trails with CoCo. The Oaks Ranch is proud to have sold Percy such a wonderful example of the Rocky Mountain Horse. This is exactly why people choose to switch to the Rocky Mountain horse. We at The Oaks Ranch, wish Percy and CoCo many more years of happy, safe trail riding.
